Among A516 steel plates, Plate ASTM A516 gr 70 has the highest tensile and yield strength range due to the highest carbon content. Supplementary testing under ASTM A516/A516M standard such as Charpy Impacts, Ultrasonic Examination and Carbon Equivalency are available for Plate ASTM A516 gr 70. All Plate ASTM A516 gr 70 over 1-1/2" thick need to be normalized.
