International steel price continues to rise

In January, the International steel price index (CRU) was 157.5 points, up 6.9 points on a month on month basis, up 4.6%, rising for two consecutive months on a month on month basis, opposite to the trend of China's steel price; down 13.1 points on a year-on-year basis, down 7.7%.

In January, the CRU long material index was 167.4 points, up 8.0 points on a month on month basis, up 5.0%; the CRU steel plate index was 152.5 points, up 6.3 points on a month on month basis, up 4.3%, and the long material index was down 0.7 percentage points; compared with the same period of last year, the CRU long material index was down 13.9 points, down 7.7%; the CRU steel plate index was down 12.7 points, down 7.7%.
