 A515 Grade 60 boiler steel plate is carbon steel with even more resistant than stainless steel. The behaviour of ASTM A515 Grade 60 carbon steel plates during cold forming is similar to that of other alloys. The usual annealing temperature of A515 Gr.60 steel is approximately 1900 Degree F (1040 Degree C). In the aeronautical field, ASTM A515 Grade 60 boiler steel plate is used for a variety of engine and airframe components which must withstand high temperatures. In various types of high – temperature water, ASTM A515 Grade 60 carbon steel plate displays low corrosion rates and excellent resistance to stress – corrosion cracking.
