42CrMo4 steel social inventory fell sharply

42CrMo4 steel social inventory fell sharply

From January to early March this year, affected by the Lunar New Year and the new crown pneumonia epidemic, the social inventory of 42CrMo4 steel and so on steel materials has rapidly accumulated. With the gradual control of the domestic epidemic, all walks of life have resumed work and production, and construction sites have accelerated. Beginning in mid-March, steel demand began to rebound, and social inventorys of 42CrMo4 steel and so on steel materials fell.

In late June, the social inventory of 42CrMo4 steel and so on steel materials again showed a seasonal rebound. In the past 15 weeks, there was only a four-week decline. The smallest drop was only 65,000 tons, and the largest drop was 216,000 tons; while the social inventory of 42CrMo4 steel and so on steel materials on October 16 fell by 711,000 tons, which is about 11 times the lowest drop in the past 16 weeks and about 3.3 times the biggest drop. It can be seen that the magnitude of the decline in steel this time is relatively large.

It is expected that there is still room for a certain decline in inventory of 42CrMo4 steel and so on steel materials in the later period. According to the law of previous years, the decline in inventory generally reaches the bottom at the end of December, and then the increase cycle is started due to winter storage or weak demand.
