Grade 13CrMo4-5 is alloy steel for pressure vessels with specified elevated temperature properties under EN 10028:2. Its material number is 1.7335. 13CrMo4-5 alloy steel plate’s tensile strength is from 450 to 600Mpa when thickness less than 16mm.
1.7335/13CrMo4-5 material is much heavier than aluminium but has far less corrosion resistance than Stainless steel. The reason it is so popular is that chrome moly steel plate is strong and formable.
