ASTM A283 B carbon steel plate covered by this specification may be welded by conventional methods. Heat treatment consists of normalizing at 1650F and slow furnace cool. Hot working of ASTM A283 B carbon steel plate may be done at 1650_1700F or lower temperatures. Tempering is not applicable in ASTM A283 B carbon steel plate.
